Clinical Skills Technician
Adult Nursing
The College of Health and Science draws together a wide range of healthcare disciplines including Nursing, Midwifery, Social Care, Paramedic, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medicine, Physician Associate.
The Clinical Skills Technician will be responsible for the day to day technical support in the running of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centres, specifically, setting up for sessions, maintaining equipment and assisting in the delivery, evaluation, monitoring and quality control of teaching and learning provision. The role holder will ensure that resources are appropriately utilised within relevant simulation areas and provide an efficient service, ensuring that all equipment and resources are available, and the request is appropriate, technical support can be offered and the booking is viable. They will train staff and students in the appropriate use of equipment and relevant health and safety processes and procedures. Where appropriate, they will assist academic staff in the preparation of teaching and learning materials.
This is an exiting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical Skills and Simulation team, with significant growth in the area of health and wellbeing. The University is expanding its facilities, with the development of our new Health and Wellbeing Severn Campus including our newly opened Elizabeth Casson Building and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Building. We also have a number of new pre-registration courses due to start in September 2023 including our Three Counties Medical School Graduate Entry Medicine and BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography.

From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £22,681 - £24,533, with the opportunity to progress to £25,742.
