CLINICAL FELLOW (ST5-) available in Fetal Medicine at SWBH

The Trust is seeking to recruit an ST4/ST5Level doctor for this exciting Clinical Fellow post to join a busy gynaecological team at City Hospital Birmingham starting as soon as possible. This is not a Deanery/Health Education England funded training post and the post does not come with an NTN.

The successful candidate will be based both at City Hospital and Sandwell Hospital working within a team of 16 Specialist registrars (on both sites). This appointment will support the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Team through the provision of emergency on call (nights and weekends) on both sites. This post provides intermediate grade support and promotes the continuing provision of high quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology at City Hospital. The appointee will have experience in the diagnosis and management of Obstetric and Gynaecological problems. The post holder would be an active member in in a level 2 Fetal Medicine unit. We regularly perform invasive procedures including amniocentesis, Chorionic villus sampling and feticide along with the scans for high risk pregnancies and pregnancies affected by fetal anomalies. Fetal ECHO studies are performed for high risk pregnancies. The post holder will have an opportunity to attend the scan lists and could perceive ATSM in Fetal Medicine/intermediate scan training. There is a scope for working towards advanced labour ward practise. He /she would be actively involved in the fortnightly MDTs and monthly educational meetings. The post will have dedicated research sessions (4+) per week with an opportunity to complete a post doc degree
