Job description
We have an exciting patient-facing opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Research Nurse to join our well-established clinical research team, based at St Mary’s Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be working on a portfolio of interventional and non-interventional clinical research studies, recruiting patients into surgical studies. Our surgical portfolio includes Upper GI, Urology, ENT, Breast, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Anaesthetics, and Plastics.
You will possess excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills in order to support patients and work effectively with colleagues while also raising the profile of research within the Trust. You will be required to collaborate closely with leading investigators, other research team members and the wider multidisciplinary team, to ensure the safety of patients throughout the trial. You will be required to manage your own workload. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential.
The post-holder will be part of a small and dynamic team, so be competent to work independently as well as part of a team.

As a Senior Research Nurse you will have a key role in the delivery of a research portfolio. This comprises of providing research delivery expertise and input to ensure the timely delivery and recruitment to time and target of surgical studies. This role is patient facing therefore ensuring you meet the needs of the patient is paramount.
