Job description
This is an exciting time to join the Research, Development and Innovation team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
The post holder will join a research delivery team of approximately 40 Research Nurses, AHP's and Research Practitioners in the recruitment to clinical trials and research studies across the speciality of cancer within the Trust and in collaboration with our partner organisations.
The team are based in the Clinical Research Centre at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
We recommend that all individuals employed in patient facing roles, or those located on a ward or department where patients receive a service should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
The post holder will work alongside an experienced team of research delivery staff to support the achievement of departmental and organisational goals in relation to clinical research study delivery.
The role will involve the recruitment, monitoring and follow up of participants of research studies predominantly in Cancer, but may involve recruiting to studies across various specialties (including Covid studies) depending on departmental priorities.
Training and development within the role will be provided.
We are one of only 5 sites nationally to be selected to host one of the National Institute for Health Research, Patient Recruitment Centres to offer patients within our region access to cutting edge commercial research.
We have a diverse portfolio of clinical research covering various clinical specialties across the Trust sites and collaborating with our primary care partners.
