Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to join our East Suffolk Learning Disability and Autism pathway within Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. The Learning Disability and Autism pathway works with adults over the age of 18 who have a learning disability and/or autism spectrum disorder and a mental health problem and/or challenging behaviour
Whilst working within a specific pathway you will have opportunities for close collaboration with colleagues from other pathways, disciplines and clinical backgrounds, as well as the opportunity to meet up with other psychologists in other learning disability pathways across Suffolk
Main duties of the job
You will be involved in providing assessment / formulation, individual therapy, neuropsychological assessment, and interventions with carers and families. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team participating in regular team meetings and will provide consultation and support team formulations across the wide range of professionals within the learning disability pathway.
We would consider newly qualified clinical psychologists, under a preceptorship arrangement, who have relevant experience and are committed to further developing their skills.
We are a collaborative, committed and supportive service with well-established arrangements for supervision. We have strong links with the University of East Anglia and regularly provide supervision for clinical placements. Research interests are encouraged and supported, as is CPD.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Post-graduate degree (or its equivalent if trained prior to 996) in clinical psychology, accredited by BPS
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of CPD in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience working as a qualified clinical psychologist (Band 7) and able to evidence appropriate knowledge and experience in practice to enable the post holder to clinically supervise trainee clinical psychologist
Skills
Essential criteria
- Able to effectively communicate technical and clinically sensitive information to service users, families, carers and other professionals, within and outside NHS
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Doctor level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
