Job Title: Expert Witness Consultant Psychiatrist for Medico-Legal Reporting The Expert Witness Psychiatrist for Medico-Legal Reporting will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments and preparing medico-legal reports for whiplash/RTA, Data Breach, Clinical Negligence, Immigration, Industrial Disease, Fitness to Practice and other personal injury clients. The successful candidate will work flexible hours and will be located at satellite clinics nationwide. Key Responsibilities: • Conducting psychiatric assessments for personal injury clients • Preparing medico-legal reports in a timely and accurate manner- secretarial support will be provided • Communicating effectively with clients, other professionals and administrative support staff • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards • Demonstrating an understanding of the RTA and other personal injury claim process, medico-legal report writing and the role of expert witnesses Qualifications and Experience: • GMC registration with a license to practice as a psychiatrist in the UK • Basic knowledge of PTSD and other mental conditions • Experience in conducting psychiatric assessments and preparing medico-legal reports • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and telephone) • Organizational skills, including time management and ability to prioritize Personal Attributes: • Positive attitude and ability to work in a changing environment • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Empathetic approach to service users • Professionalism when dealing with members of the public Salary and Hours: • £80-£100 per hour • Part-time, flexible hours Location: • Satellite clinics nationwide (near your location) If you meet the qualifications and requirements for this position, please submit your application as soon as possible
