A rare opportunity is now available for a Senior Pharmacist with considerable management experience to become the Superintendent Pharmacist at a leading Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy.

Outpatient services successfully bridge the gap between clinical and community – a flexible and dynamic environment that sees and cares for people with a wide variety of general and specialist healthcare needs; from recent attendees of A&E, to discharged patients continuing treatment at home, to people managing chronic or progressive conditions.

Based in Southampton, the Outpatient Pharmacy serves one of the largest customer bases nationally and is currently undergoing an exciting period of expansion. As Superintendent Pharmacist, it will be your responsibility to ensure the pharmacy is running optimally on a safety, compliance, and business level to maintain seamless service development in line with evolving healthcare needs and ensure that using the pharmacy continues to be a positive experience for all hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

While a clinical (hospital) pharmacy background will be an advantage, Pharmacists who have managed larger-scale community pharmacy services will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

This is a permanent role for a Clinical Superintendent Pharmacist, with full-time and part-time hours considered (32 – 40 hours per week).
