Full Time London, England 53000 - 25200 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

London | On premise | £51,500 - 57,850 per year DOE Bonuses
Permanent | Full-time | KW/SE/11433/1

The Outpatient Pharmacy at a leading city hospital is now looking for a GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join the team, providing outstanding services tailored to patients who have either been recently discharged or who attend regularly on an outpatient basis.

Serving one of the largest and most innovative hospitals in the UK, the Outpatient Pharmacy combines elements of both clinical and community pharmacy to support many patients with a huge variety of healthcare needs – from recent attendees of the Emergency Department, to discharged inpatients continuing treatment at home, to people needing support to manage complex and progressive conditions.

Joining the team as a Pharmacist, you will provide your patients with effective medication screening and counselling services while working closely with prescribers, specialist pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimised, patient-centred care.

As part of a major London hospital, the pharmacy is an incredibly fluid and fast-paced environment – dispensing, on average, approx. 15,000 items per month. This role would therefore best suit a Pharmacist who is looking to be challenged and enjoys practising in a setting where no two days are the same; you will be fully supported to settle into your new role, with the opportunity to later take a number of further learning pathways (including Independent Prescribing and Pharmacy Diploma courses) as part of your CPD alongside additional benefits such as a £500 welcome bonus* and annual bonuses of c. 10% of your salary.

This is a permanent position for a Pharmacist with a number of flexible working options available, including full-time, part-time, and rotational working patterns.

Person specification:

Candidates must have:

  • Active registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacist.
  • Previous experience practising in a high-volume, highly variable environment, such as within a clinical or outpatient hospital pharmacy.

Benefits include:

  • One-off £500 welcome bonus* (*T&Cs apply)
  • Annual bonus equal to c. 10% of salary
  • 27 days’ annual leave bank holidays
  • Substantial training & development opportunities, internal and external
  • Paid GPhC renewal fees
  • Annual leave buy/sell scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Retail and leisure discount scheme
  • Multiple salary sacrifice arrangements, including for additional lifestyle discount options
  • Company pension scheme, with matching employer contributions up to 6%
  • And more!

Your application will be forwarded to Sterling Cross and they will contact you directly.
