This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic and creative service for older people and to be part of a psychology team comprised of 19 clinical and assistant psychologists. Specialist interests in the service include systemic work with older people, CBT, neuropsychology, working with carers and service user involvement.
To provide a psychology service to clients of Camden and Islington’s Care Home Liaison Teams (CHLTs) in Services for Ageing and Mental Health; providing psychological assessment and treatment and offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to referrers, non-psychologist colleagues and other professional and non-professional carers.
The postholder will lead on delivery of psychological interventions within the CHLTs, providing assessment and treatment to patients, and consultation and training to staff, in residential and nursing homes in Camden and Islington. The post holder will clarify the needs of patients and staff, shape how the service is delivered and evaluate its effectiveness.

We are looking for a part time Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in Camden & Islington’s Care Home Liaison Teams (CHLTs) in Services for Ageing and Mental Health. The post holder will lead on delivering psychological interventions within the CHLTs - providing assessment and treatment to patients and consultation and training to staff in residential and nursing homes.

We currently deliver the majority of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.
