Job Summary
The Clinical Informatics Liaison (CIL) in conjunction with the Director of Nursing Innovation and Health Informatics, is responsible for the function of the department, ensures that those in collaboration adhere to goals and objectives of the organization in accordance with its policies and procedures. Contributes to and supports the mission, vision and values of the department and organization. Assists and coordinates the development of workflows based on policies and procedures for the organization, maintains engagement with coordinating departments and is a resource person for the electronic medical record system. The CIL is responsible for training, educating, and collaborating with staff while providing a transparent and open-minded environment.
Essential Functions
- Design changes of Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Review and test design changes
- Validate change requests built by application management support (AMS) team
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and superusers for feedback and approvals
- Training
- Develop training materials
- Train super users, new hires, and providers
- Education
- Develop education related to different application solutions
- Collaborate with education department for education roll outs
- Assess activity and progression of implementation projects
- Performs other related duties/participation
Other Duties
- Participate in meetings with Director Nursing Innovation and Health Informatics, as delegated
- Manage Electronic Medical Record (EMR) governance committees
- Assess and integrate clinical practice improvements
- All other tasks delegated by direct supervisor

Minimum Education/Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure in New Jersey State as Registered Nurse
- BSN
- Master’s Preferred
- Preferred: Higher learning enrollment in Nurse Informatics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Vizio (workflow diagrams)
Minimum Work Experience
- 3 years as staff nurse in acute care facility
- Preferred 1 year in leadership/informatics position
- Preferred experience in nursing education and/or running committees

Monday through Friday (varied times/hours based on needs, weekends, and holidays as indicated)

Physical Demands Analysis:
Exposure to stress, crisis, emergencies, and trauma. On feet most of the day, lifts and moves equipment.
