Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics Liaison (CIL) in conjunction with the Director of Nursing Innovation and Health Informatics, is responsible for the function of the department, ensures that those in collaboration adhere to goals and objectives of the organization in accordance with its policies and procedures. Contributes to and supports the mission, vision and values of the department and organization. Assists and coordinates the development of workflows based on policies and procedures for the organization, maintains engagement with coordinating departments and is a resource person for the electronic medical record system. The CIL is responsible for training, educating, and collaborating with staff while providing a transparent and open-minded environment.

Minimum Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure in New Jersey State as Registered Nurse
• BSN
• Master’s Preferred
• Preferred: Higher learning enrollment in Nurse Informatics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Vizio (workflow diagrams)

Minimum Work Experience

• 3 years as staff nurse in acute care facility
• Preferred 1 year in leadership/informatics position
• Preferred experience in nursing education and/or running committees
