Job Description
At Airdrie Vets4Pets we’re offering a salary up to £65,000 for an experienced Vet to join our friendly team as Clinical Lead.
This is the perfect role as an introduction into leadership and being instrumental in the direction a practice takes. You will have the opportunity to experience running a practice as if it were your own, but with the support from established practice colleagues and our highly experienced regional team. You may even be interested in partnership in the future, and, if so, this is an option here too!
Our standalone practice has flourished since opening in 2012, making us the go to practice in the local area, and with a large and loyal client base, this gives you the opportunity to develop any specific interests you have with certification encouraged and fully funded. We have been RCVS PSS accredited at General Practice level since opening and do all the things you would expect a busy small animal practice to do. You can see more of our practice here.
You’ll be joining an enthusiastic, forward-thinking team who take pride in the culture we have built based on communication, support and mutual respect. Well-being is also important to us here, so we offer 20 minutes for non-routine consults, ‘catch-up time’ after appointments, twice daily well-being breaks and protected admin time giving you the chance to work up cases effectively and take care of yourself. We also enjoy a monthly Tea & Cake break when we close the door to clients for an hour!
This position is full or part time with weekends on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team. There is no out of hours requirement and we’re always happy to look at flexible working and job share options to work around commitments outside of work.
As standard we offer all the benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary up to £65,000 etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if wanted (we’re an A+ rated sponsor).
Airdrie is a small suburban town in Scotland, located on the outskirts of Glasgow, with excellent access to the M74, M8 and Edinburgh with its airport. The beautiful southern Highlands are just a short drive North of the town providing endless opportunities to engage in cultural, historic and outdoor pursuits, for when you need to escape the busy city life.
Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone’s differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.
Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So if you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’re waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
