Clinical Fellowship in Psychiatry

Black Country Healthcare Foundation Trust are inviting applications for our Clinical Fellowship Programme in Psychiatry for a period of two years in the first instance. The Trust provides specialist mental health, learning disability, and community healthcare services for the population of the Black Country:
- General Adult Services
- Old Age
- Liaison
- Peri Natal
- Eating Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- CAMHS
- Penn Hospital, Wolverhampton
- Gem Centre, Wolverhampton
- Dorothy Pattinson Hospital, Walsall
- Bushey Fields Hospital, Dudley
- Edward Street Hospital, West Bromwich

The programme is suitable for UK and overseas doctors seeking clinical experience, a high-quality training programme, enhanced qualifications and career progression supported by dedicated Clinical Leads and a wider admin team. Post holders will be encouraged to undertake audit and quality improvement projects. They will also be supported to pursue Membership examinations and opportunities to develop formal teaching or research skills.
The Programme has an established reputation for supporting our Fellows. It is the intent of the service that, at the end of their tenure, the Fellow will be fully prepared and highly marketable for their next career step by virtue of their clinical experience, educational portfolio and higher qualification.

International candidates who are not registered with the GMC and require sponsorship would need to evidence they meet the requirements:
Hold a relevant post graduate Qualification
- Have a valid OET (band B minimum) or IELTS (7.5 overall/min 7 each domain)
- Have been in clinical practice for a minimum of 3 out of the last 5 years
- In current clinical practice with no gaps during the 12 months immediately preceding the date GMC registration would be applied for/granted
