We are recruiting for an Clinical Engineering Engineer who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
The post-holder will carry out planned maintenance, repairs and final test of medium to high technology medical equipment. Working within written Special To Type Tests, they will carry out planned maintenance, repairs and final test and calibration of selected medium and high technology equipment. Training is a requirement for aspects of this role and will be provided.
The post-holder will maintain accurate records and assist senior staff in providing information and support to the Trust.

The department manages a Medical Equipment Library, Clinical Engineering, Equipment Training, Contract Management, CCTV and Mechanical Medical Equipment.
This post will be in the Clinical Engineering section and will support the repair and maintenance of Medical Equipment. The section also includes Sustainability, Utilities, Car Parks and Patient Transport so very few days are ever the same in this progressive department.
Clinical Engineering is a specialised department employing highly qualified and specialised engineering and technical staff. As part of this team you will support Medical Equipment in its repair, routine maintenance and replacement within Medway NHS Foundation Trust and others. You will take calls, liaise with clinical staff and maintain records as necessary.
The Clinical Engineer role will also occasionally take part in Equipment Library duties and ensure that, when necessary, all Library Equipment is ready for use in a clean and safe manner, taking requests for, delivering and collecting Library Equipment from the Clinical Environment ensuring that, where necessary, appropriate decontamination has been correctly carried out.
