Primary Responsibilities:

Answering phones, faxing information to outside facilities for patient continuity of care and ensure that HIPAA/legal guidelines are followed in all interactions with patients and in handling medical records
Respond to patient enquiries related to ROI, assist patients with questions about their medical records
Scan/Index approximately 30,000 pages/month of clinical forms/documentations into EMR (TouchWorks Scan) for SMA clinics
Ensure that HIPAA and legal guidelines are being followed with scanning/indexing medical records content into the EMR
Auditing at least 50,000 pages a month of paperwork in EMR to verify that errors have not occurred in the indexing
Ensure that HIPAA and legal guidelines are being followed with scanning medical records content into the EMR
Report issues directly to Sr. Lead/Mgmt. Provide administrative support to including projects, as assigned in order to meet HIM business needs

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
6+ months of experience in Call Centers, Customer Service, Healthcare, or similar environment

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year or more of HIM experience

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $31.44.
