Job description
Job Purpose
ICE Data Services, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, presents a unique opportunity for a full-time Business Analyst within the Climate Transition Risk Group to join a team responsible for creating customised & innovative product and data solutions for clients & third-party partner firms which use ICE Data Services Climate Transition Risk products and data solutions.
The role is multifaceted and combines working with client facing and staff internally on the project management and implementation of complex/customized services, and to analyse whether the solutions developed can be opened up as a generic offering to other clients and research the commercial value behind it.
Data Mapping and deciphering client requirements into a tangible product offering is a key requirement of the role.
The position requires a strong knowledge of climate data as well as financial markets. This also includes a minimum working knowledge of the different technologies available within our products and feeds, & knowledge of Industry standards and regulatory/compliance initiatives such as SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TCFD.
The role is based in London.
Responsibilities
- To oversee the implementation of complex services;
- Feasibility study of the requirements;
- Data Mapping of client requirements to new products and services
- To design, implement & test customised / post-processed solutions;
- To write detailed and concise project specifications
- To develop procedures post-implementation to help the Account Managers and Client Service teams manage & support these services;
- To represent the clients needs with the product and development teams
- To monitor and report on revenue generating activities;
- To provide business justification for new initiatives.
- Short term / focused projects as and when required;
Knowledge and Experience
- A strong knowledge of sustainable markets, financial markets, and its interpretation is a necessity;
- The ability to communicate well & confidently with clients and partner firms at meetings, to understand their needs and requirements and to develop & deliver solutions effectively and professionally;
- The ideal candidate for the role will need to be approachable, innovative, thorough, assertive, methodical, structured, self-disciplined, logical, patient, careful, organised & diplomatic in approach;
- A ‘thinking out of the box mentality is actively encouraged;
- The candidate needs to have the ability to describe requirements in clear logical terms;
- The ability to run with all the stages of a project from initial requirement, through to testing and implementation;
- To be able work within a pressurised sales driven environment and to both create and adhere to internal and externally driven deadlines;
- Moderation, consistency and the ability to tie up all the loose ends and finish a job will be of importance;
- A further part of the role will be to write up documentation on what has been developed including procedures for the teams responsible for the on-going support of the services;

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week .
