The Real Estate team is responsible for managing the Deloitte UK and Switzerland property portfolio and has expanded in to North South Europe and the Middle East. Deloitte is going through a significant period of transformation in how it occupies and uses its real estate and workplace. This change has created a healthy project pipeline with a potential capital investment of up to £250m over 5 years. A role has arisen for an internal client side project manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of some of the office refits & refurbishment projects within the wider programme.

The Client Project Manager will deliver these projects on time and in budget, by planning and organising internal and external resources and 3rd party contractors. They will need to track and monitor work to be completed, set deadlines and delegate tasks to the project team (most internal stakeholders in Technology, Operations, security, FM etc.), identifying any potential risks.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager within the RE team the Client Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing multiple office refurbishment and fit out projects;
  • Managing projects from inception to completion & handover to operational support;
  • Identifying and managing the project workstream leads throughout project lifecycle (Internal & External)
  • Inputting into the production of Business Cases
  • Preparing and managing the Project Definition Document (PDD)
  • Defining and agreeing the scope of works
  • Developing and managing the project plan through its life cycle
  • Managing procurement process
  • Produce and manage project plan to deliver on schedule
  • Manage and control project approved budget
  • Manage quality of delivery in line with design standards
  • Appoint external consultants where required to develop design and technical brief. Manage and monitor as that progresses;
  • Managing change through robust Change Control process
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues from a client perspective and report to the Senior Project Manager
  • Manage key stakeholders during project lifecycle. Work closely with clients to really understand their business, needs, manage expectations and build and maintain strong relationships;
  • Inform and coordinate all key stakeholders across other CBS departments, including Technology, Security, Operations and FM;
  • Engage with procurement and professional team, if relevant, to oversee tendering / contractor selection;
  • Attending and chairing Steering Group sessions and producing minutes
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress to snr manager

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing office refurbishment projects (Understanding of RIBA Work Plan stages)
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills at all levels;
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Ability to manage multi disciplines at one time, effectively prioritise workload and activities;
  • Exceptional proven experience in communication skills, delivering clear, concise messages and well developed communication and business writing skills as well as excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Client side project management experience preferred;
  • Innovative problem solving skills;
  • Must be credible, and have the ability to influence others (up/down/across), able to develop and maintain effective network of working relationships, and ability to work positively with full range of individuals involved with the project;
  • Should be able to demonstrate well developed skills in the following areas, Delegation, Negotiation, Conflict management.
  • Professionally qualified (MRICS, MAPM or similar) desirable.
