Department Profile:
The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.
What will you be doing?
  • Responsible for trading and risk management across Repo, Cash, Derivatives and Short-end Interest Rates Instruments
  • Providing timely, in-depth market updates internally and to clients
  • Generating trade ideas to help enhance the franchise
  • Liaising with sales teams to identify gaps and address them
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Optimising internal utilities, developing current tools and leading on the creation of new ones #LI-KF1

QUALIFICATIONS

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven record of experience with Securities
  • Experience Market-making and managing risks
  • Extensive knowledge of Fixed Income products
  • FX Swaps or STIRT experience
  • Experience in funding market equities
  • Demonstrated ability of writing comprehensive trading colour and making presentations on trading ideas and strategies
  • Excellent networker who is comfortable liaising with clients, sales, and other traders
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills, coding/programming skills a plus

This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
