The role – Client Director
Your role is to help us achieve those growth plans, and share in the success as you do.
We don’t need you to hunt out new clients. We have a business development team for that. We are looking for those with the skills, expertise and laser-focused client plans to carefully cultivate existing relationships. Making them bigger, deeper and more sticky.
What you’ll do:
- Grow our business, building trust and strengthening relationships from our book of existing clients
- Create and execute regional ‘top-down’ strategic growth plans for your clients
- Guide and support your team in developing Account strategy to ensure overall success
- Lead the development of strong partnerships across your team’s with your clients by demonstrating a detailed understanding of their business, brand, industry, and how our services should be applied to bring their commercial ambitions to life
- Ensure the team has sales training and development needs met
- Inspire the Catalyx team to create compelling strategic stories that lead to actionable recommendations that build brands
- Ensure client retention and revenue rates are measurable with personal and company KPI’s and make improvements across the team, where necessary
- Plan for and lead client pitches (existing business and supporting the new business team on prospective/new clients)
- Support the Commercial Director in executing the strategic growth plan across our portfolio of clients. You’ll help to develop and capitalise on existing client business
- Champion professionalism and rigour across the business, ensuring that your team delivers consistently and with excellence. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and resolve service issues promptly.
- Actively promote our values, and contribute to the growth and health of the team and the business.
- Helps drive Marketing strategy by contributing client perspective on what would be effective
- Attend industry and key events; represent Catalyx, ensuring efficient awareness raising and supporting lead generation
What we require
The ideal candidate has demonstrable client management experience (at least 5 years) with large consumer facing companies. You will have grown the relationship with these clients and will also meet most or all of the following requirements:
- A proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, particularly in consumer facing brands (FMCG, Durables, Apparel, etc.)
- A proven track record of surpassing revenue targets
- A true passion and ability for account management / client servicing
- Experience in coaching and mentoring teams to successfully deliver against growth targets
- Experience working in a small company with big ambitions and able to use your initiative to support and enable rapid growth
- Drive and tenacity to directly outreach to new contacts within key clients to enhance business growth
- A strong understanding of the world of consumer insight, market research and marketing strategy, having sold to Market Research and Insight professionals and clearly understand what makes them tick and their frustrations
- A background in Insight Discovery, Innovation Development and Communication Optimisation would be helpful – Catalyx is about identifying strategic recommendations that builds businesses, not just about delivering data
