Job Title: Clerical Officer

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Organise Consultant/Specialist Nurse outpatient activity, using hospital EPR systems. results reporting system and any other identified data base e.g., Infoflex, to book new and follow up appointments, in line with Trust/National policy, to meet local and National targets.
· Daily pulling and filing of large volumes of case notes for outpatient clinics recording the latest tracing for those not in file. This involves the use of ladders/kick stools/trolleys as the case notes are stored up to ceiling height and requires a high degree of physical effort due to the weight and bulk of the notes required for each clinic.
· Liaise with other clerical and administrative staff to identify current location of case notes required for clinic appointments when they are not in the library. This involves considerable Organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure all missing notes are located before the required tight deadlines. Make arrangements for timely delivery/collection. Retrace the current location of these notes to maintain an efficient retrieval service.
· Arrange clinic cancellations and amendments, in line with Trust policy, to meet local and National targets.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Previous admin experience
· Previous NHS experience
