About the Trust

We are no ordinary trust. We hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers. We are an integrated provider of acute hospital and community services to the people of Stockport, as well serving the populations of East Cheshire and the High Peak in North Derbyshire.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Responsible for daily collection of case notes from wards, secretaries, mortuary etc.

· Locate un-coded case notes for the clinical coders to meet the Trust’s deadlines.

· Use digital systems to search for missing patient case notes.

· Retrieve case notes from clinical and corporate areas, returning as appropriate.

· Track all case notes in and out of the department using the Trust Patient Administration System.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent organisational skills

· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

· Previous experience in a similar role.
