Who we are
We are family owned and run and have been offering self-catering cottage accommodation at our riverside estate at Notter Bridge, near Landrake in Cornwall, for almost 50 years.
The Position
We are currently seeking to add a cleaning supervisor to our friendly team. You will let the cleaning team know what is required and then work with them and support them to make it happen. This is very much a practical hands-on role.
Responsibilities
- You will be expected to lead the cleaning team to deliver first class cleanliness within all our cottages.
- You will be a skilled and enthusiastic cleaner and use these skills and your excellent leadership qualities to lead the team from the front.
- You will work closely with the Management team to transmit their requirements to our cleaning team and then work with them to deliver the first-class cleanliness that is required.
- You will be proactive and train members of the team and monitor the whole team's output to ensure the correct levels of cleanliness are delivered consistently.

- You will have previous experience in a similar role.
- You will be proactive and have excellent communication skills.
- You will love achieving high standards.
- You will be flexible and happy to help with a veriety of tasks in addition to your main role.
Holiday
28 days holiday. As with all tourism businesses, school holidays are the busiest and holidays are required to be taken outside of peak times.
Additional information
This is a full time position, working 5 days a week, which will include working Saturday and some Bank Holidays during peak times and when doing this days off will be Sunday and Wednesday. At other times of the year your working week will be Monday to Friday inclusive with Saturday and Sunday off.
Hours of work are generally between 08:30 to 17:30. Some minor adjustments may need to be made to these hours during peak times.
You will be required to monitor on occasion, on a rota basis ,(1 week on 2 weeks off) our out of hours response service for urgent matters that might arise which is generally very infrequently.
You will have a driving license to enable you to drive company vehicles whilst on the estate.
There is free parking available to you within the Estate.
