Job Purpose:

The role of an evening cleaning operative is a part-time role of 15 hours per week Monday to Friday 6pm to 9pm in the heart of Birmingham City Centre at a prestigous Government building

As the dedicated Cleaning Operative:

You will plan, organise, direct, and control the operational resource to enable the delivery of consistently high cleaning standards, customer service and operational productivities.

The right individual will possess attention to detail, a commitment to driving service improvements and a passion for the building and ability to work as part of a larger team.

Working alongside the site Cleaning Supervisor, you will ensure staff are adequately trained to carry out their work safely, efficiently and to the standard prescribed.

Impact:

Cleaning plays a key role in the scope of the TFM contract at 23 Stephenson Street. Through the introduction of modern equipment and implementation of rigorous cleaning schedules ISS is committed to offering a first-class service.

You will be responsible for ensuring customer service is at the heart of the FM services delivered. Working closely with the on-site teams you will ensure your own targets are met and all works are carried out effectively, efficiently and in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will deliver consistently high cleaning standards, customer service and operational efficiencies.

  • Reporting into the Cleaing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the delivery of routine, planned and periodic cleaning.
  • You will work safely, efficiently and to the prescribed standards.
  • You will cover colleague’s sickness and holidays where required.
  • You will carry out regular refresher training in all aspects of Manual Handling, COSHH, SSOW, and workplace safety measures.
  • You will be required to evaluate cleaning audit results, communicate, and rectify actions where needed and submit findings to the Facilities assistant in an appropriate format.
  • You will ensure sufficient consumables and cleaning materials are requested whilst maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • You will ensure that all working areas are kept to the highest standard of hygiene, Health, Safety, and presentation.
  • You will report any maintenance issues that may arise pursuant to site procedures.
  • You will be able to work under pressure, problem solve and use your initiative when required.
  • You will follow all company systems and processes as prescribed by Company Policy.
  • You will ensure you observe the site rules and maintain a smart appearance, wearing the companies uniform and appropriate PPE at all times whilst at work.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH regulations and be confident that all Company Policies and Procedures are adhered to by yourself. You must be prepared to perform any other reasonable duties as requested by Site Manager/Supervisor.
  • You should be ready and willing to deal with individual customer requests in a polite and professional manner at all times.
  • You will ensure that instructions for the maintenance, cleaning and storage of equipment are always adhered to.
