Job Title: Cleaner - Afternoons 2pm -6pm Monday to Friday
Responsible to: Facilities Officer
Location: Belfast YMCA, 58 Knightsbridge Park, Belfast, BT9 5EH
Salary: £10836 per annum
Hours:20 hours per week
Other benefits: 5% employer pension contribution
Holidays - 31 days per year rising to 37 days per year

Probation period: 6 months
Vetting: The role requires vetting from Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and an enhanced Access NI disclosure due to the nature of working within the Nursery.
Main purpose of the Job:
The appointed cleaner will work within as part of the Facilities Team to provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery and when required across the wider YMCA facilities.
Job Details: Daily, weekly and monthly scheduled cleaning of the daycare premises to ensure a high level of cleanliness. To include but not limited to:
●Cleaning of all floor surfaces
● Cleaning of furniture, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
● Cleaning of all sanitary fixtures and fittings
● Cleaning of vertical surfaces without the use of access equipment
● Removal of impacted soilage and spillages from floor surfaces with and without the aid of machines
● Removal of loose dust and debris from furniture, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
● Remove impacted stains and spills from furniture, furnishings, fixtures and fittings with and without the aid of machines
● Provide a polished finish to wooden furniture, fixtures and fittings
● Remove accumulated waste from specified disposal containers to designated points
●Replenish consumable items in sanitary areas
● Spot clean vertical washable surfaces to hand reach height
● Cleaning of vertical glass surfaces internally and externally
● Any other regular or irregular cleaning as required and directed
General Duties
- Maintain personal hygiene, health and safety
- Maintain healthy and safe working practices
- Contribute to the safety of machinery and equipment by reporting faults or concerns to the Facilities Officer
- Maintain security of premises and contents within own area of responsibility
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers and other members of public
- Maintain effective working relationships with other members of staff
- Understand and be supportive of the Christian Ethos of Belfast YMCA
