Cleaner
Part time 10 hours per week, all year round - Permanent
Grade A NJC point 1 (FTE £20,258) £5,475.14 Actual Salary per annum
Rosslyn Park Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a cleaner to join our morning cleaning team.
This is a part-time, all year round position for 10 hours per week. The working hours are Mon-Fri (6am-8am).
Rosslyn Park is a large primary school with nearly 700 children on roll and we pride ourselves on supporting each one of them and their families. Our children feel valued and have a sense of belonging to the school and the local diverse community. We believe strongly in developing the whole child and ensure that our knowledge-rich curriculum is supported by strong pastoral provision.
We are looking for a hardworking, team player to join our excellent cleaning team.
Main Responsibilities are:
- To undertake the cleaning of the school buildings using the necessary chemicals and equipment.
- To carry out a range of cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuum cleaning, floor polishing, dusting, mopping, maintaining sanitary items, etc.
- To comply with legislation, school procedures and safe working practices.
- To assist members of the school cleaning staff with other duties, as required.
- To work on own initiative, unsupervised whist carrying out their duties.
- To have a helpful attitude towards school needs, at all times.
You will:
- have a basic understanding of different cleaning methods and equipment.
- be able to be trained to carry out a range of cleaning duties, including using different equipment and materials safely.
- have a basic awareness of Health and Safety.
- value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share your skills with colleagues.
- be able to work on own initiative and to ask for help when required.
- be punctual and reliable.
