An amazing Cleaner is required at the Federation of Maytree Nursery and Infants School and Mount Pleasant Junior School
Working at Mount Pleasant Junior School and Maytree Nursery and Infants School, the governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Cleaner to join our amazing team in the heart of Southampton.
You will have a good understanding of cleaning large buildings, using commercial powered cleaning equipment.
Working as a team, you will be a valued and key employee, keeping the schools safe and clean.
To be successful in this roll you will need to be a good team player and be able to communicate professionally with your team and work colleagues. You will need to be fit and able to undertake cleaning duties and operate machinery.

Key Accountabilities
- To clean the designated areas to a structured plan managed by the Site Managers.
- To empty litter bins, polish and dust furniture, fittings and flooring.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment where appropriate.
- To contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and adults, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations and requirements.

- Staff must demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Employees should meet these standards and continue to meet them throughout their career.
Hours: 20 per week, 46.5 weeks per year.

Job Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to pre-employment checks
Salary: Southampton City Council, Grade 2
Contract/Hours: PermanentTerm time; 4 hours a day, 06:30 to 08:30 and 15:30 to 17:30
Term time; 2 hours a day, 15:30 to 17:30
This contract allows for 2 weeks of work during the school holidays, throughout the academic year.
