Cleaner - Vacancy – Grade 1, SCP 1, 30 hours per week - Permanent

Flexible Cleaner Post x 2 – April 2023

Sheffield City Council’s Facilities Management Cleaning Service are looking to recruit a flexible cleaner to ensure that it can deliver first class cleaning across the central region.

The role is to assist with the delivery of the cleaning service functions and we are recruiting to cover holidays and sickness across various sites within the central region, not at a fixed site. We are wanting someone who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to develop their skills in providing the delivery of a quality cleaning service. The role will require the successful candidates to deliver a cleaning service across various public sites whilst having a flexible approach.

The job will be 5 days over 6 days working week (Monday to Saturday) with 1 day off per week on rota. The hours requested will be 6 hours per day between the hours of 6am and 7:30pm.

The tasks will include maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the areas/sites allocated. Specific duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting of the designated areas allocated. Candidates will also require an awareness of the conditions associated with the cleaning of your allocated areas and work to the appropriate Health and Safety requirements, rules, and processes.

If you feel you can play a part in developing and delivering an effective service, this is an opportunity for you.
