Job description
The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy has a vacancy for a Cleaner.
The post holder will be required to work 11.25 hours per week, this can be either in the morning or the afternoon with times to be negotiated, during term time. In addition, there will be one week’s holiday cleaning during the summer break.
Fixed term contract initially until 31 December 2023, when the needs of the school will be reviewed.
The successful candidate will:
- Undertake cleaning tasks to a high standard and take pride in their work
- Act as relief/emergency keyholder, opening and closing the premises in the absence of the Caretaker
- Safely store cleaning materials and equipment adhering to all health and safety legislations
- Undertake all training relevant to their role
- Be conscientious and show initiative, be flexible in their work
- Report to their Line Manager regarding any issues relating to cleaning equipment and materials
- Be able to work both independently and take direction as part of a team approach to cleaning
Previous experience of cleaning in a school or commercial environment is desirable but not essential.
