Job description
We are looking for a conscientious individual to undertake cleaning and general housekeeping duties at one or possibly two domestic properties in the Bolton BL6 area. We are happy to consider a self-employed cleaner or agency personnel for this, or we may offer employment.
We anticipate that to complete the necessary tasks 8 - 10 hours of work will be required per property which can be split over two days (or over 4 days if two properties are involved).
The successful candidate will have an above average concern about hygiene and cleanliness and an eye for detail. Applicants must be English speaking, honest, diligent and hard-working. This job will require bending, stretching and kneeling so agility is important.
The basic duties will comprise of:
- Vacuuming.
- Dusting.
- Emptying of waste bins.
- Wiping down kitchen appliances and surfaces.
- Sanitising worktops.
- Mopping floors.
- Cleaning toilets.
- Cleaning tiled walls in toilets.
- Cleaning baths and shower cubicles.
- Replenishing toilet rolls and paper towels.
- Polishing mirrors and glass tables and shelves.
- Making beds
- Operation of a washing machine for towels and bedding etc.
- Ironing and the putting away of clothes.
- Other tasks that would be reasonably expected of the role.
