Job description
Don’t want to be stuck indoors, we have the role just for you. We are recruiting permanent market cleaners near Borough Market, to keep the market clean and tidy. It would be to your advantage if you do have a driver’s licence or experience using a forklift.

We offer 22 days annual leave for full time staff as a starting point, in addition to Bank Holidays or a Bank Holiday allowance depending on the role.
After completing 2 full years the employee gains 1 day, after 3 years another day, and after 5 years a further day, which means that after 5 years of employment they have 25 days annual leave.

Employees are also entitled to join our Private Healthcare Scheme following probation completion. This is non-contributory.
An annual season ticket loan is offered to those who have completed probation, which is then deducted from the employee's salary in 10 equal monthly instalments for the next 10 months of the year.

Some of your responsibilities
- The purpose of this role is to set up the Market, maintain cleanliness of all areas, clear customer tables, and manage the waste compound.
- To break down the Market after closing time, leaving all areas in a state of readiness for the overnight wholesalers and restaurants traders.
- To ensure all areas are maintained to provide a safe working environment to traders and market staff and a welcoming and safe environment for customers.
- To ensure that all Health & Safety Policy is complied with.
