Hourly Rate: £9.88 (rising to £10.42 from 1 April 2023) – the FTE salary is currently £19,319 per annum (rising to £20,375 from 1 April). Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year – part-time posts available
Shift: 06.00 – 14.00 (part-time hours/shifts can be discussed at interview but shift must start at 06.00)
DCG Services Ltd provides cleaning services to the Derby College Group.
We are seeking experienced Cleaners to work at our Roundhouse site in Pride Park. Working as part of a friendly team you will provide a daily quality cleaning service to the College, maintaining standards of cleanliness, hygiene, litter control and tidiness.
You will have proven experience of cleaning in a large professional environment and managing your time effectively. Well-developed cleaning skills and the ability to provide a good customer service are essential to this role. We will also consider applicants without prior cleaning experience and will provide excellent training.
Examples of role responsibilities include (but are not restricted to):
- General areas - sanitizing tables, chairs, doors, sweeping and mopping floors
- Washroom Facilities - sinks, walls, toilets, floors cleaned and stocked up with toilet rolls and soap
- Touch points monitored and cleaned after every use

Our Cleaning Operatives are the backbone of our entire cleaning service. They keep our sites spick and span, our students and staff happy and uphold our high-quality standards. Working alone or as part of a team they’re responsible for general cleaning duties and (depending on location) have the potential to use cleaning machinery and work with PPE to get the job done. This role isn’t always easy. But it is really rewarding. It takes someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a real commitment to doing a great job, right from the word go.
