Cleaner
Location: Howell’s School, Llandaff
Required from: ASAP
Contract term: Permanent
Hours: 12.5 hours a week, 4pm – 6.30pm
The Role:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable cleaner to join our exceptional cleaning team in Howell’s School. The role involves cleaning all areas of the building after the school day, the collection and disposal of waste, and ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of allocated areas, and in the case of classrooms, their readiness for teaching. This will also involve adhering to safe working practices as required, and assisting with regular deep cleans and with any special arrangements for outside of term time requirements.
Skills & Experience required:
· The ability to work effectively both in a team and under your own initiative
· The ability to understand written and oral instructions
· Knowledge and use of basic cleaning equipment & materials
· Honesty and integrity
· Professional & approachable attitude
· Self-motivated with a positive ‘can do’ approach to work
· Reliable & punctual
An understanding of H&S requirements and experience of cleaning in an education/ office setting are desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.

Howell’s School, Llandaff, is one of the oldest girls’ school in Wales, having opened in August 1860. Since then, it has steadily expanded, both in terms of student numbers and physical size. The school now caters for girls from the age of 3 to 16 and girls and boys 16-18.
