Job description

Have you ever wanted to work as a classroom assistant but unsure where to start; the Belfast City Council Employment Academy can help, no experience or qualifications necessary.

Positions available across a number of local schools for various types of contracts. To apply you must be:

• Living in the Belfast area;
• Unemployed;
• Ready and willing to move into employment;

All positions will be classroom based and require you to:

• Support pupils and teaching staff in day-day activities,
• Manage challenging behaviour,
• Undertake tasks assigned by the teacher,
• Support childrens education and learning by carrying out a range of activities

Positions may require you to carry out personal care on children with special educational needs, complex needs or various forms of disability. All positions are subject to ACCESS NI checks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 16 - 30 per week

Salary: From £10.43 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Childcare Qualifications (preferred)
• Drivers Licence (preferred)
