We are looking for a class teacher with a passion for teaching and learning; someone who wants to own their classroom and have vibrant and authentic relationships with their pupils. This position will be ideal for someone who has the ambition and drive to become a highly successful teacher, working either in EYFS / KS1 or KS2. Burleigh is looking for someone who is conscientious, hardworking and deeply committed to ensuring children succeed.
Our mission statement, working together for the good of the children, is simple, but demands wholehearted commitment. Everyone who works at Burleigh knows that they are here to put the needs of the children first. All staff have a desire to see each child become a M.A.G.I.C. learner, full of: Motivation, Aspiration, Gumption, Integrity and Communication. Whilst there are shared expectations, teachers are very much free to express their own individuality and teach in a style that enables them to achieve the best outcomes for their pupils. Burleigh staff are not clones of one another – our diversity is our strength!
If our values and beliefs resonate with you, please apply for our post. All applicants are strongly advised to view the school first.
We are committed to keeping our children safe, and therefore the successful candidate would not be able to start their post without a clear enhanced DBS. We also require two good references and there must be 'gaps in employment' seen on your application. Please see our Child Protection Policy for more information.
