Job description
Do you enjoy driving the bigger vehicles? Are you a Class C licence holder? Can you handle an 18T vehicle?
Working Monday to Friday, yes that’s correct No weekend working you would be joining a dedicated logistics teams based in Barking.
Being an experienced Class C HGV driver with a DCPC Card / qualification you will be servicing our customers by ensuring deliveries and collections are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Using your attention to details skills you will complete daily pre/post walkaround checks, ensuring that your vehicle is equipped, legal and safe and ensure that you have checked load items, security, equipment, paperwork and fuel cards prior to leaving site. Having a good customer service attitude and approach you will unload or load goods at the customer premises safely and efficiently and record customer delivery or collection information on the company electronic device (HHT) ensuring signatures are received as proof of delivery.
If you drive and abide by the road traffic transport legislation, comply with Drivers Hours and Rules and Working Time regulations, are aware of the legal load capacity, hold the relevant licence and qualification, have previous HGV driving and digital tachograph experience, this could be your next role.
