Kenect Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HGV, Class 2 Driver on behalf of one of our Rotherham based, family-owned clients, who has been in the steel industry for over 150 years.
As an experienced class 2 driver, you will be delivering steel in both the local areas, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley and long distance, travelling within a 3-hour radius. Depending on the route the number of drops expected would be up to 15 max. On occasions this position may involve assisting with the loading of the vehicle.
Salary: £13.50 per hour (not including holiday pay entitlement) with overtime paid at an enhanced rate
Shift pattern: Approx start time 06.00, Monday to Friday
Holiday pay: Accrued at 12.07%
Role responsibilities:
- HGV Class 2 Category C Driving Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
- Minimum of 6 Months experience
- Knowledge of working time directive.
- No more than 6 Points or DR, DD or IN Endorsements
- Ability to carry our manual handling and loading
- Completion of a 1-day classroom training session, along with a driving assessment is required prior to placement commencing.
