At Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd , we have vacancies for Class 1 Tramper Drivers based at our Birtley Depot.

To become part of the Gregory Team, we need our Drivers to have the following:

A valid LGV UK Driving Licence.
A valid UK Driver CPC Card.
A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card.

Current Opportunities for Class 1 Trampers:

Class 1 Tramper, permanent full-time position – This is a permanent full-time position where you will be issued a permanent vehicle from the start, based out of Birtley. Salary between £36,400pa - £43,900pa AND MORE! depending on hours/shifts worked. PLUS up to £5,200pa Tax Free night out allowance. Start times between 06:00hrs and 07:00hrs. Enhanced rate for working weekends.

Class 1 Tramper, permanent full time holiday cover - This is a permanent full time holiday cover position, based out of Birtley. Once experienced, and availability arises a permanent vehicle will be issued. Salary between £36,400pa - £43,900pa AND MORE! depending on hours/shifts worked. PLUS up to £5,200pa Tax Free night out allowance. Start times between 06:00hrs and 07:00hrs. Enhanced rate for working weekends.

The position of Class 1 Tramper Driver involves:

Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads.
Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.

This will include nights away.
Attending regular training sessions.
