We are currently looking to recruit a Claims Handler to join our team in Caerphilly working on part time-job share basis to include working on a Thursday and Friday.

The ideal candidate will have previous claims handling experience gained from within an insurance brokerage or company and will be qualified to Certificate level with the Chartered Insurance Institute or working towards this qualification.
Summary of main responsibilities and activities:
- Assist clients with claims and cover enquiries and submit claims to insurers within timescales, ensuring that the claim comes to a satisfactory conclusion, efficiently and within TC procedures - with responsibility for both commercial and private clients.
- Responsible for checking the validity of claims before submission to insurers
- Ensure that all required documentation is made available for the speedily resolution of the claim
- Negotiate interim payments with loss adjusters and insurers as appropriate
- Ensure claims estimates and reserves are up to date and review periodically with insurers
- Preparation of claims reports to executives, clients and insurers
- Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken by the broking team
- Maintain accurate client and prospect records
- Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects
- Assist colleagues in the completion of their duties
- Direct leads to other companies within the Thomas, Carroll Group
- Undertake and participate in work related projects as requested
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week
Salary: £10,000.00-£11,000.00 per year
