As an insurance broker which specialises in motor fleets throughout the UK, we are expanding our claims team at our HQ situated in Sheffield and are looking for a Claims Handler to join our team. Do you have experience working in the Insurance industry in a claims handler role? If so then we want to hear from you!
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
Manage an end to end caseload comprising of Motor Fleet, Commercial, Home, EL & PL claims.- Creating new claims files and claim entries + updating claims payments
- Liaise with and advise customers on claims procedures
- Liaise with clients, Insurers and repairers where necessary to progress claim
- Making written records of all conversations with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant business contacts in accordance with the firm’s procedures manual
- Produce and present reports as and when required by clients, Account Executives, insurers or colleagues
- Meet with and support Account Executives at meetings with clients and/or Insurers.
What do we expect of you?
Knowledge of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial/private customers- Knowledge of general insurance and its underlying legal principles
- Minimum of 2 years claims handling experience preferably within an Insurer
- Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of insurance, claims and related issues through formal and informal learning both internal to the firm and externally
