Job description

Cavendish Health Group is a leading private health and wellbeing company based in London. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Claims Assistant to provide coverage advice to our clients and Case Management team, as well as authorising treatment and procedures. The Claims Assistant will work closely with the Credit Control team to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner. The postholder will report to the Claims Manager.

Duties will include:

  • Authorising appointments and treatment in line with company processes and protocols
  • Reviewing authorisation requests and advising case management team on policy coverage
  • Liaising with insurers and patients regarding treatment and claims
  • Tracking patient reimbursements
  • Requesting monthly statements from suppliers and reviewing outstanding claims
  • Providing the credit control team with payment updates

The right candidate will have:

  • Minimum one years’ professional experience (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to multitask, set goals and meet deadlines
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
  • A strong knowledge of MS Office
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Experience with QuickBooks or a similar package (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience with CRM (desirable but not essential)
  • Insurance claims experience (desirable but not essential)

Salary: £27,000.00 per year
