Civil Engineering Apprentice – Nottingham

Team and office
You will be working within an experienced team of civil engineers, highway engineers, drainage/hydrology engineers, traffic engineers and transport planners delivering professional services of the highest quality. This team work on some of the most interesting, complex and high profile projects in the region, including new housing developments, leisure sites, major retail developments, commercial developments and large logistics parks for private sector clients. You will be mentored and developed in the role by the Pell Frischmann team in the office. Flexible working is in operation in the office. You will have the opportunity to work closely with staff in other Pell Frischmann offices across the UK. Regular social activities and social value initiatives are arranged and all staff are encouraged to take part.
Location of office
The Pell Frischmann office is on the fourth floor of The Poynt, Wollaton Street, Nottingham. The office is located in the city centre and has excellent transport.
About the role –
A career in Civil Engineering is an in demand, interesting, challenging, diverse, flexible, socially and environmentally responsible profession, which enables quick progression in an exciting fast paced environment. You will be expected to use your own initiative and develop technical skills to support multi-disciplinary project teams as you learn. Some key aspects you will cover will be:
- Learning to use Civil Engineering design software
- Reviewing and writing reports
- Working with tenders
- Providing calculations for a range of Engineering projects
- Learning the process of Civil Engineering projects, more geared towards highways and transport.

Exciting Projects
Pell Frischmann are working on a number of key projects in region and across the country, including majoring housing developments, many with 3000+ new dwellings, major leisure parks, new commercial and logistic development, major designer outlet villages and new facilities for international manufacturers.
Progression – On joining Pell Frischmann you will become part of an expert, multidisciplinary team where you will gain training and experience in your chosen specialism.
