The role:

Our airports are subject to ongoing and significant infrastructure and transformational programmes, led and delivered by the Development Function. The Civil Engineer role will lead the civil engineering aspects of MAG projects and assets and be the principal point of contact for civil engineering in projects, working closely with Designers and Contractor leads.

The role will undertake technical reviews of project designs, material selection and installation methods, ensuring that all projects have appropriate risk management controls in place and that compliance of the construction works is achieving or exceeding expectations of the regulations, design standards and MAG Asset Standards requirements. Other accountabilities will include:

  • Review and provide feedback on designs and CDM information produced for MAG projects, collaborating with the Designers and/or Contractors involved on projects.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of MAG Asset Management Standards, associated with civil engineering and contribute to the development of other associated information associated with the MAG Asset Strategy.

You:

You will be registered as a Chartered Engineer (preferred) with ICE or, Incorporated Engineer working towards chartered status or equivalent, with proven experience in projects and technical discipline in civil engineering technical reviews against UK legislation, organisation standards and stakeholder expectations. You will have a collaborative approach, within the team and with colleagues across the wider organisation. Travel may be required to each of our airport sites, so flexibility to work in other locations is required.
