WHAT TO EXPECT
This role will have the accountability for the delivery of a number of Infrastructure projects within Manufacturing Engineering (ME). This will cover the coordination and leadership of a number of Infrastructure Engineers within the GME organisation and will include civils works, structural steelwork, mechanical/electrical service installations and general building fitout across all the Midlands based Manufacturing Plants.
There will be a need to interface with a number of internal and external stakeholders, including all aspects of Health and Safety, Project Managers, Contractors and all relevant departments to deliver Projects in line with all KPI’s.
This role is a key position in the delivery of GME’s core works.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME across the Midlands based Manufacturing plants. This will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit-outs.- Develop a multi-skilled, flexible and scalable team that is capable of delivering the range of identified works.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager in the development of key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include stakeholders outside of GME.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards within ME.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience, preferred in construction or similar industry.- Previous experience and strong background of construction works from conception through to delivery and completion.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials and skills requirements.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams to deliver against tight timescales and budgets.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion.
