In Hammersmith and Fulham, our parking enforcement team strives to provide a high quality of civil enforcement action to facilitate free movement of traffic and quality rotation of parking spaces both within our car parks and on street. Educating the public and enforcing our parking restrictions helps us maximise compliance. By providing residents, visitors, and businesses with easy access to parking, we contribute towards making Hammersmith and Fulham a great place to live and work.
Our Supervisors have played a key role in driving the widely acknowledged improvement in the parking enforcement service since 2009's reorganisation. To strengthen our management team, we need motivated, knowledgeable, and focused Supervisors on overseeing a team of Civil Enforcement Officers to ensure that parking enforcement is carried effectively, fairly, and consistently throughout the borough.
The person appointed will be expected to support the existing Senior Supervisors with the day-to-day management of the base. The person will be the role model for Civil Enforcement Officers, be positively committed to the efficient delivery of the service, and fully understand the importance of setting the right example for others to follow.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and maximising the CEO's on-street deployment hours.

Role Responsibilities:
To provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement, to minimise illegal parking acts through the issue of penalty charge notices in appropriate cases.
To organise and control the use of a team of Civil Enforcement Officers and deputise in the absence of the Civil Enforcement Senior Supervisor where necessary.
To ensure the accurate recording of information for various Council departments and the Police.
The working week is 36 hours worked on a 5-day rota system, which will include working Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays. Normal operational hours are from 7.00am to 11.00pm, with most shifts worked from 8.30am to 5.30 pm and 13.30pm to 10.30pm.
You will need:
- To be acquainted with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham’s controlled parking policies and the law related to parking, seeking guidance when necessary.
- To supervise a team of Civil Enforcement Officers and deputise for the Deputy Base Manager when necessary.
- To be part of a uniformed team providing a patrol-based parking enforcement service including meters, pay and display machines, footway parking and related legislation.
- To carry out patrols of on-street and off-street parking and to enforce place orders and footway parking controls, seeking advice when necessary.
- To identify infringements and contraventions of appropriate regulations and undertake enforcement activities as required by the Council procedures.
