Civil Enforcement Officer

Flexible hours and contract options are available.

Salary ranges from £24,591 to £26,452 for full-time contracts, and pro-rata for part-time and casual contracts.

Base Location: Colchester

Working Location: Colchester, Tendring, and Braintree

Job description

Responsibilities include:

  • Patrolling parking restrictions
  • Protecting the safety and interests of all road users
  • Issuing penalty charge notices
  • Resolving face-to-face customer enquiries
  • Reporting issues with the road network to the appropriate authority

Qualifications, skills and experience

Applicants must have:

  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • Ability to walk more than 10 miles a day in any weather condition

We provide training and a nationally recognised qualification and prefer applicants to have:

  • Positive, polite, and professional attitude
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
  • Confidence to work independently and as part of a team
  • Resilience
