Our vision is to create the world¿s leading civic data environment, making health-related data work for the people in Liverpool City Region (LCR) while fuelling innovations of international importance. Based on a collaborative, open approach to governance the co-operative will support organisations to improve the lives of LCR residents while driving economic growth in health tech and digital sectors in the region.
This LCR Civic Data Cooperative (CDC) seeks not only to develop a new data resource but a new type of environment with transparent governance that reflects the legal and ethical obligations to enable linkage of civic health data from multiple sources. This will give a bigger picture of health and wellbeing across LCR, while preserving residents¿ privacy and respecting their preferences for data uses.
The LCR CDC is seeking to appoint a part time Research Assistant to work with the CDC team to build an open data platform, The Digital Commons, for the Liverpool City Region.
You will be working to develop new data infrastructure to facilitate the linking of existing civic data sets across the LCR to inform project delivery. The candidate will also assist the team in identifying project specific data sets and integrating these into the infrastructure of the platform.
This post provides an opportunity for a researcher with advanced quantitative skills to make a practical contribution to reducing health inequalities and improving population health both locally and nationally.
