Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is a newly created business integrating Citi Private Bank and the Consumer organizations into a single platform enabling Citi to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on Citi’s industry leading capabilities. As we embark on this journey of being the leading wealth management provider, it is important to have a best-in-class Technology Platforms. The CGW Country Technology Lead (UK & UAE) will play a pivotal role by partnering closely across the organizations varied teams to support the delivery of unified experiences, innovative technology solutions, and best in class digital products for wealth clients in UK & UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Single Point of contact for all Technology requirements from business for Citi Global Wealth UK & UAE.
- Provide oversight over the overall development, integration, and execution of Technology roadmap.
- Manage end to end technology responsibility ensuring every aspect of CGW UK & UAE business is covered including discretionary, build the bank and run the bank covering global and regional initiatives.
- Lead and deliver local staff forums, present global, regional, and location news and updates to engage team in the progress of organization.
- Work closely with CGW Technology, Business, and Operations leadership team to define and support the delivery of technology product roadmaps aligning to strategic business priorities.
- Work in close collaboration with the product, sales and segments, regional and country teams to understand and anticipate business needs and translate them into technology product requirements.
- Work with businesses on the impact of the project decisions on the technology spend and understand all operational aspects of the CGW technology unit to create UK & UAE technology strategy
- Work in partnership with relevant teams on design and architecture to provide long term solutions suitable to all segments focused on enhancing client experience and locking in safety and soundness.
- Influence on the technology product assessments, build Vs. Buy decisions, Vendor evaluation. Contract and commercial finalization.
- Spearhead disruptive thought leadership, with adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance, driving the technology roadmap toward global standardization.
- Align to the objectives and processes defined by global for demand management and other technology operating process initiatives like Agile management, common tools and processes
- Provide Oversight, Delivery Governance on all the CGW UK & UAE initiatives
- Responsible for managing delivery from Global and UK & UAE CGW Technology
- Represent UK & UAE technology in various Leadership forums and Steer Co’s, preparing suitable content and escalations, when required.
- Ensure timely delivery of committed initiatives to materialize the business benefits
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. This will be accomplished by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant working experience with a strong technical background (usually 20+ is for MD’s)
- 12+ year’s relevant experience in Wealth Management and/or Technology Strategy
- 12+ years’ experience managing large or multiple high performing business or technology development teams with demonstrable and measurable results.
- Deep understanding of UK & UAE and global regulatory landscapes.
- Possess complete understanding of all the aspects of all the technology operating model, processes, the business alignment, different business products and processes
- Relevant Qualification or experience to understand the different aspects of financial management like capitalization, cash spend and amortization
- Demonstrated ability to take directions and work independently or as part of a team while performing work in a sometimes fast-paced, demanding environment
- Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and influence non-directs through data and a vision in a variety of contexts
- Strong interpersonal, communication & analytical skills to engage, negotiate & prioritize the actions during the complex & multi-faced situations to pursue the best outcome for Global Wealth Management
- Ability to lead and direct a team of knowledge professionals.
- Ability to size and prioritize large-scale initiatives across businesses.
- Ability to work effectively with senior and middle level managers and with large interdisciplinary teams.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
