Job Specification: Circular Economy Project Manager
Line manager: Managing Director (Kristina Bull)
Location: Flexible - home-based with occasional meetings (mostly London or elsewhere in South East England). Ideally, you're based near Bicester, Oxford or Banbury but we will consider candidates from other areas in England.
Role type: 4 days a week
Salary: £24,000 per year
Benefits: 5 weeks’ paid leave per year (+ bank holidays), 4% pension contribution (4% from us, 4% from you)

The role
The CE Project Manager will lead projects and business activities to help us succeed in promoting circular economy practices in the fashion industry. Your responsibilities will increase as the business grows. Ideally, you can grow with our business and help it become the world-leader we aim to be. You will be our first employee, you can shape and define your development & growth.
Priority 1: Cotton Lives On Campaign & Project
We are funded to create a cotton recycling programme in the UK and beyond. We’re working with brands to collect unwanted cotton goods and recycle them. We raise funds and make new products that we can donate to beneficial causes.
1. Coordinate our brand engagement - set up and operate a system track progress (e.g. brands signed up, development of brand content, confirmation that artwork meets our brand guidelines, launch event plans).
- support development and delivery of launch events, with social media posting and overseeing website posting on the CLO website.
- as your experience grows, you will take on direct brand engagement activities
2. Cotton Lives On Website (https://cottonliveson.org/):
- Update the site with new information as required (brand partner list, product content, donation levels and blogs)
- Monitor email enquiries and coordinate responses.
3. Track cotton donation received to drive our cash donation to the beneficial products we make (beds, crisis blankets, pet beds, etc).
4. Supply chain support :
- liaise with our suppliers to arrange manufacture and delivery of our beneficial products for donation to charity partners
- if we start manufacturing products for direct sale in future, you’ll manage the suppliers and operations for that too
Priority 2: Fashion market intelligence software support
We’re developing a software service for fashion brands. This is a new area for us, and may start slowly over 2023 and you will help us manage this exciting new strand of the business.
1. Coordinate our brand engagement - set up and operate a system to track leads and progress (e.g. enquiries, signed up for a pitch call/meeting, signed up for service, active service use and billing).
- Where necessary, support with social media posting and overseeing website posting on the NV website as required.
- As your experience grows, you will take on direct brand engagement activities
2. Novem Vitas Website (under construction):
- update with new information as required (brand client list, product content, analysis and blogs)
- Monitor email enquiries and coordinate responses.
Priority 3: Project management support
Some activities will involve working on projects with our sister business, QSA Partners (a certified B Corporation™ ). QSA works on sustainability projects with many industry sectors. From time to time, you may assist with those projects. We want to raise QSA’s profile and have more impact.
1. Extended Producer Responsibility Sandbox for the UK Fashion Sector
- Provide project management support to our work
- Organise and manage meetings with brands and project partners
2. QSA Website (www.qsapartners.co.uk): keep project-related information up to date and help us create and manage great content in the blogs section.
3. Create a calendar (for internal QSA use) of events and articles in the fashion industry (related to circular economy) and provide analysis on new and emerging trends, policies & changes.
