Provisionally a 12 month fixed term contract (a day rate can also be considered)
As a Cinematic Designer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the team to create visually stunning cinematics that help to convey the game's story.
Your broad range of expertise in cinematography, lighting, performance direction, and editing, coupled with your skills in storytelling, cinematic theory, framing, and composition, will help you excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with team members to create cinematics that bring our games to life.
- Utilise previsualisation techniques to plan out camera movement, character blocking, and shot composition for cinematics.
- Communicate the narrative and pacing of cinematics to team members and stakeholders through storyboards or pre-visualisation.
- Use your expertise in staging, composition, and sequencing to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Collaborate with other teams to develop concepts and colour scripts that champion your unique artistic vision.
- Maintain quality, style, and continuity throughout the project.
- Create visually appealing layouts, cinematography, editing, and lighting.
- Implement cinematics into the game engine and test them for a seamless fit.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of visual and observational storytelling required.
- Experience of directing is a plus.
- Highly skilled in cinematography, lighting, and editing.
- Familiarity with cinematic or sequencing tools (such as Unreal, Unity, or Motion Builder) preferred.
