Key responsibilities:
As an Investment Banking Analyst, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc)
- Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
- Building and using complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises
- Drafting presentation materials, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
- Monitoring shareholder activism in the UK as well as helping clients development strategies to deal with activists who come on to their register
Qualifications:
- Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills
- Strong interest and focus on deal execution
- Strong academic background
- CFA Level III certification (or similar) preferred
- Experience with UK Takeover Code transactions
- Experience developing shareholder activism materials, as well as monthly M&A updates for clients
- Solid communication and project management skills
- In-depth understanding of investment banking products is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
- Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
- Experienced in building financial models to help internal and external clients evaluate opportunities
- Strong team player
- Proficient in MS office applications.
