About us
Our goal is to appoint someone to this new and exciting role who is enthusiastic with good administrative and communication skills. The person appointed will work closely with the Rural Dean, the deanery synod and the churches in Ferring, Lancing and Worthing. The role will focus on improving communication within the deanery and on developing the mission of the deanery and its parishes.
The Deanery Development Officer will work mainly from home and will also be expected to attend occasional meetings. The work will be for half a day a week (3 hours) on a day to be agreed with the Rural Dean.
This is a 3 year fixed term post with the possibility of an extension.
Salary
National Living Wage - £10.42 per hour (reviewed every April).
The salary will be paid monthly in 12 equal amounts.
Annual Leave
5 weeks paid annual leave per year (pro-rata) plus paid leave in the week between Christmas and New Year (pro-rata).
